In what was an historic matchup, first time in history that the 2 varsity softball teams have ever met, Greely scored early and often, jumping out with 8 runs in the top of the first inning.
Though many of our runs were unearned, our pitching & defense was very good. Mary Zambello going the first 3 and Danielle Cimino pitching the final 2, all scoreless innings and our defense delivered a shutout - best part of the game.
Danielle Cimino led the attack with 4 hits including 2 doubles and 3 RBI's. Marika Stayte scored 5 runs and Michaela Finnegan & Bryce McEwen scored 4 times.
