The hits & runs came in bunches today at the Greely field. We had a 16 hit attack with 5 players having multiple hits:
Katie Whittum - 3
Caroline Hamilton - 3
Marika Stayte - 2
Danielle Cimino - 2
Bryce McEwen - 2
Katie & Caroline each scored 3 times while Marika drove in 4 runs and Caroline had 2 RBI.
Mary Zambello had a good day in the circle allowing only 4 hits and a walk while striking out 4. Edith Aromando caught a good game, throwing out a runner at 3B and stealing a base herself!
Overlooked may be a very strong defensive effort by all, especially Mary stabbing a hard liner right back at her and Caroline cooling down the hot corner at 3B.
