The game started out in our favor as, in top of the first Erika walked and Catherine singled with no outs, but they were left stranded. That turned out to be our biggest threat of the game as the GNG pitcher fanned 16 Rangers while walking only 1.
Some Greely highlights included; in the top of the 2nd, Esther snared a line-drive and fired to Isabelle at first for a double play! In the bottom of the 4th, Isabelle added some excitement by leading off the inning with a single to left-center, then with good "reads" on the ball and aggressive baserunning - stole 2nd and 3rd! Krissey struck out 6 and allowed only 1 earned run.
Our girls have faced some strong pitching and are working hard to get ready for the upcoming games - we've got the hitters and the hits will come!
